How we write
We read it so you can decide.
A job listing is written to attract you. Our job is to read all of it, say what it means, and point out what it leaves out.
What we do on every post
- We read the whole job listing before we write. Each post names the site we read it on and links to it.
- We quote pay exactly as it is shown, with its currency. We do not convert or round it.
- If a listing does not say something, the page says Not stated. We do not guess.
- We say a role is open to people in a country or region only when the listing says so, and we quote the words.
- We show the date the role was posted and the date we checked it.
- We link to the listing so you can read it yourself. When the listing names the company’s own apply page, we link that too.
- When a role closes, we mark it closed. We do not leave it looking open.
- Anything that is our opinion sits in a green box marked Our read.
What we do not do
- We do not take your CV or your application. You apply at the source.
- We do not charge you to read or to apply.
- We do not ask you to make an account.
- We do not tell you a role is safe or right for you. We tell you what the listing says. You decide.
If we get something wrong
Tell us which page and what is wrong. We will check the listing again and fix the page.
